Welcome to DEA Salisbury

On August 1st 2007 the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) became a mandatory part of the Home Information Pack. This is an EU directive in compliance with the Housing Act 2004 and the Home Information Pack Regulations 2007. The EPC will tell you how energy efficient your property is, and can only be carried out by accredited Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) and Home Inspectors.

I am an independent Domestic Energy Assessor with Personal & Public Liability Insurance, and Personal Indemnity Insurance, and I operate within a 15 mile radius of Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Top Energy Saving Tips:

Turn your TV off rather than leaving it on stand-by
Equipment on stand-by uses up to 20% of the energy it would use when fully on.

Turn your heating down
Reducing your thermostat by 1 degree celsius will knock 10% off your heating bill.

Buy 'A' rated kitchen appliances
They cost less to run and over time will give you considerable savings on your electricity bill.

Use energy efficient light bulbs
They use 1/5 the energy and last up to 10 times longer.

Insulate your loft
Loft insulation will keep the heat in your loft for longer and pay for itself in 2-3 years.

Fit a lagging jacket
Lagging your hot water cylinder will keep the water hotter for longer and pay for itself within 2-3 months.
